The Tjernlund Register booster fans are made in the USA and are very quiet.  This fan is a great way to increase the flow of air from your ducts in rooms that are too hot or too cold.  This fan is all metal.

A register booster fan is a great solution when you are not able to install an in-line duct booster fan. The RB10 gets installed right in your register opening and is plugged into a wall outlet, so there is no complicated wiring to install. It is very quiet and easy to control.  It comes with a paintable grille so you can match your wall color, or you may use your own grille. The low profile design rests flush with carpet or wood flooring.

You can turn it on and off with the switch inside the register or use a programmable timer.  It can also be controlled with the Tjernlund SCP speed control.
