This was the slogan for the Studebaker brothers in 1872. Started in 1852, business boomed as they built wagons for the Union and British armies. They built their first car in 1902, a Thomas Edison designed electric. By 1916, now making only gas-powered vehicles, they were #7 in car production and among the biggest in trucks, boasting of developing the first 6-cylinder vehicle to sell for under $2000.
