The RMN20-Red- Red Nugget Product is .80 cubic ft. per bag. Majestic Rubber Mulch is available in 20 lb, a 20 lb. bags cover approximately 12 sq. feet. This dept will ensure proper soil moisture for plants and shrubs. Also, it will allow the air to get to the soil and to let it breath so it doesn't hold too much moisture in the soil. Occasionally Majestic Rubber Mulch has an initial odour, but once it is out of the bag, the scent will fade within a few days. Majestic Rubber Mulch will not decompose for over 200 years. when fading begins after a least 10 years, you can either top dress it with fresh Majestic Rubber Mulch or till it into the soil. The multch is safe to till into teh soil bacause it is non-toxic and acts as an aerator to help keep the soil from compacting. Similar rubber products such as crumb rubber are being used for the same purpose in atheletic fields all across the country. You can also rake up your faded mulch to be landfilled. The ideal way to install rubber mulch is over a weed fabric. We recommend using a weed fabric and not a plastic material because plastic is not permeable. When installing rubber mulch over a weed fabric, you will never have any weed problems and you won't have to worry about previous mulch debris mixing in.
