No Special Receptacles or Waste Bags

Why spend a lot of money on special receptacles or waste bags? The Litter-Robot was designed to work with inexpensive standard 8 and 13 gallon kitchen garbage bags - those larger grocery bags work very well, too.

Works with Any Clumping Litter

The Litter-Robot works just fine with any clumping clay litter. The Litter-Robot accommodates a wide variety of litters, not just the premium clumping clay litters. Litter Crystals, Pearls, and bio-degradable litters such as World's Best Cat Litter work well in the Litter-Robot.

No More Litter Box Smell

The Litter-Robot waste drawer was designed to prevent mold growth, eliminating that typical cat box smell. However, we do recommend that you empty the waste drawer at least once a week - after all, there are limits.

You save money because you don’t need to buy those special receptacles or bags. The Litter-Robot saves you even more by wasting very little of the clean litter. The patented litter sifting process keeps the litter very clean, eliminating the need to frequently dump all of the litter because of soaked and loose clumps contaminating the clean litter.

Safe and Comfortable for Your Cats

The Litter-Robot operates on a safe 12 volts DC (adapter included). There are no moving parts or sharp objects inside the globe that could harm your cat. A safety mechanism prevents the Litter-Robot from operating when a cat is inside. As an additional safety feature, the globe rotates very slowly during the cleaning cycle. If a cat tries to re-enter during the cleaning cycle the motor will shut off automatically.

The spacious globe provides a large litter bed area for your cat. The Litter-Robot accommodates cats up to 15 lbs, but according to our customers larger cats have adapted to the Litter-Robot without problems.

Is the Litter-Robot Right For Your Cat?

Do you have a kitten or a small cat that weighs only 5 lbs or less?

• To ensure the comfort and safety of your cat, we strongly advise against using the Litter-Robot in unsupervised, automatic mode for kittens or small cats weighing less than 5 pounds. Due to their low weight, kittens and small cats will not activate the cat sensor.
  
  You can, however, start the Litter-Robot cleaning cycle manually by plugging in the power cord when the litter bed needs to be cleaned and then unplugging the power cord again once the cycle has been completed. You can continue this manual "supervised" mode until your kittens have gained sufficient weight to activate the cat sensor. In this way, you still enjoy the benefit of not having to scoop the litter box by hand.

• Cats weighing more than 15 pounds may not be comfortable in the space provided by the globe. However, many owners of larger cats have let us know that their cats are using the Litter-Robot without any problems. Large breed cats up to 20 pounds typically do well, while severely overweight cats are less likely to adjust to this box.

• Diabetic cats can produce very large urine clumps - large enough that they may not pass through the waste ports, preventing the Litter-Robot from automatically cleaning the litter.

• A cat that does not accept change very well may reject a new litter box concept such as the Litter-Robot.

• Cats that are skittish, very nervous or easily scared are probably not good candidates for the Litter-Robot™.
