5 Inch Diameter Fresh Air Kit with Motorized Damper

The Fresh Air Kit  is the industry's first self regulated fresh air introduction system.  The Fresh Air Kit becomes an integral part of a forced air heating or cooling system to introduce controlled amounts of ventilation air per ASHRAE-62 Standards.  The FAK-II is designed for A//C dominant climates and prevents costly over ventilation.

The FAK-II incorporates the Constant Airflow Regulator (CAR) as its key element. The use of the CAR provides precise  amounts of fresh air to be introduced and distributed throughout the home when the forced AHU system is operating, and eliminates the need for field balancing or adjustment. This device is ideal for homes equipped with a continuous-duty exhaust fan and a forced  air heating system.

Once connected to the return plenum of your forced air system, each Fresh Air Kit has three (or four) adjustable cfm settings so that homes are not over ventilated (wasting energy) or under ventilated (accumulating stale air). This is also critical in ensuring the air pressure in homes is kept at an appropriate level.

This model includes a motorized damper, which can be interlocked with the forced air system blower to prevent airflow while the forced air system is not running.

The Fresh Air Kit requires no maintenance other than checking the air intake screen to be sure it is free of debris, grass clippings, snow, etc.
