B*Witched: Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou (guitar); Sinead O'Caroll (keyboards); Edele Lynch.
Additional personnel: Martin "Wildman" Brannigan, Erwin Keiles (guitar); Daniel Collier (fiddle); Chris "Snake" Davis (tin whistle); Ray "Madman" Hedges (vocoder); Richard Cottle (Hammond); Tracy Ackerman, Andy Caine (background vocals).
Sinead, Lindsay and twin sisters Edele and Keavy make up the bubbly Irish pop group B*Witched. Hailing from Dublin, the girls exercise an irresistible brand of popcraft reminiscent of England's Spice Girls--these teens display youth, charm, soul and sweetness that can charm even the most resolute curmudgeon. Let's face it-they're just downright cute. The contagious single "C'est La Vie" offers an exuberance that's all about being joyful and young at heart. The girls' flirtatious warbles fly over funky guitar, slippery turntable scratches, cheerful keyboard chords and a thumping beat that culminate in a soaring fiddle jig, giving the music a modern buoyancy with a touch of traditional flavor. This is the kind of contagious fun that charts across oceans.

Entertainment Weekly (2/5/99, pp.66-67) - "...With songs that weave in the occasional fiddle or tine whistle, B*witched sound like the Spice Girls' younger sisters aboard the Titanic. Still, it's hard to deny the music's appeal. B*WITCHED's pajama-party tunes...are effortless jump-rope pop..." - Rating: B+

Pros: Some good poppy songs with inanely catchy lyrics; girls can sing; only 39:01
Cons: Not a lot of substance; lyrics are too sugary
The Bottom Line: For bubblegum pop music, I guess this is great but as for general music, this stuff is so lightweight and shallow that Im afraid my CD player might fly away.
Review: The Main Idea: Thanks to the induction of Britney Spears into the music game in 1998, she opened the
