About Barn Dandys It began with a love of vintage textiles that she uncovered in her husband's family's 100 year old barn in Colorado, and from her obsession with vintage toys and children's furniture that inspired Polly Wilson to start Barn Dandys. Barn Dandys earliest products incorporated at least one aspect that was old, whether it was an old furniture leg, a vintage western textile, or an antique spindle. As business grew, it became more and more difficult to find these vintage items. That was when they started building their own furniture in a small barn in Colorado. The result was Teeny Weeny Footstools, Small Chairs, Itty Bitty Benches, and Tiny Couches. Soon, the collection developed into products even adults dreamed of having, including beautiful teepees, tents and bedrolls. Polly's success in the children's world was limited to the lack of vintage textiles so she began designing and producing her own. Barn Dandys still has a small factory located in Oklahoma and with several full-time employees, Wilson and her team continue to create children's products that are whimsical, beautiful, and based on one simple idea.
