Beall Wood Threader Kit - Small

The Beall Wood Threader uses your router to cut external threads on wooden dowels. Since the bit used for cutting is solid carbide, you can produce thousands of threads without ever sharpening or adjusting its angle. It can thread any species of wood (including exotics) without pre-treating - and many plastics, as well.Your router clamps to a table made from hard maple and aluminum and comes with a centering sleeve for fast set-up. Accurately machined DelrinTM Threading Inserts ensure precision without marking your wood. Internal threads are produced with taps designed especially to cut wood easily and cleanly. The larger Taps now have four flutes, so that chips will clear easily, allowing you to tap with less effort. Since all taps are convertible, with detachable pilots, separate bottoming taps are unnecessary. The Wood Threader will cut right-hand threads in three sizes - 1/2", 3/4", and 1". All of our threading tools are designed with Combination Taps which have removable pilots, allowing them to perform as either regular or bottoming taps. Each tap has the capacity to tap a full thread to within 7/16" of the bottom of a hole. The socket head screw which secures the pilot to the tap body can be quickly and easily removed and as quickly reattached with the wrench included in each Wood Threader Kit. It is now manufactured in harder steel than originally, so that it will hold its edge longer.
