Beyond Capitalism to Post-Capitalism : Conceiving a Better Model of Wealth Acquisition to Supersede Capitalism

Building on (and continually referring readers back to) earlier works of his including The Future of Capitalism and Democracy, The Future of Post-Human Consciousness, and Beyond Democracy to Post- Democracy, Baofu (PhD, political science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology) analyzes capitalist models of wealth through the lenses of the methodological, the conceptual, the theoretical, praxis, and the ontological. He proposes that the capitalist model of wealth will inevitably give way to post-capitalist models of wealth with concomitantly different values. These post-capitalist models--trans-sinitic, trans-feminine, trans-islamic, and trans-outerspace--will inspire for a higher spiritual culture, will allow for a more active (communal) role for government, and will favor the fulfillment of basic needs rather than artificial ones.
