Handkerchiefs

A handkerchief is a nice accessory to have in a pocket because you never know when you will need to use it: maybe there aren't any paper towels, maybe you need to wipe the sweat from your brow, maybe you have a runny nose and no tissues. A handkerchief is small enough to fold and put in a pant pocket or purse. In many other countries, almost all men and women carry a handkerchief because paper towels aren't as readily available. You can get handkerchiefs monogrammed so you know they are yours, they are great as gifts and both men and women can use them.

Pocket squares are another great accessory that are similar to handkerchiefs but smaller in size to fit in the front pocket of a suit jacket. Many times they are used for decoration only but we're sure you can use them when necessary. Brands like Forever, Forzieri and John W. Nordstrom make some very elegant pocket squares.

Forzieri makes a tie and pocket square combo, while John W. Nordstrom makes patterned silk or linen pocket squares that pull together a suit.
