Skorts: Carefree Fashion and Common Sense
We love
skorts for your favorite sports, but also for work and everyday wear. At some point, a young person will ask what these are, and the answer is easy: a skort is a
skirt on the outside, and a comfy pair of
shorts on the inside, so a lady can look feminine but feel confident no matter what she's doing.
Starting with sports and beachwear, we like
Nike for some really cute styles and usability off the playing field.
Golf skorts are one of their best options, offered in many lovely colors and classy prints that could start in the office, lead to the golf course, then head out for an evening on the town.
Adidas:Adidas is almost all business, in the sense that their
tennis skorts will serve you best on the court. The Response is a very cute style with an overlay that serves a peek of one leg of the shorts underneath.
Under Armour is another designer with more flexible styles, including the cute DanceFloor
plaid skort which might have originally been intended for tennis, but will look great in any casual situation. Under Armour's Major is at home in the office with side tuck pleats. Speaking of
pleated skirt styles,
Fred Perry Ball Skorts are certainly tennis-ready choices with bright colors hiding between the pleats of the mainly white nylon skorts.
Our favorite styles are almost entirely from
Columbia, including the tie-waist Arch Cape, the businesslike World Traveler and Titanium Silver Ridge, and the
pencil skirt style of the Makaha Valley. Shorter, traditional skort styles are also available for a wide variety of choices, but we love a skort that goes from work to play so easily, and Columbia certainly delivers here.
