Robes

No matter what you're wearing underneath, having a robe ready for stepping out of your shower, for getting out of bed on a cold morning, or for just lounging around on a lazy evening puts out a clear notice: "Do not disturb". It's not sleepwear nor lingerie, but it's a must for people with children. Cover your chemise, your babydoll or teddy with a wrap or a robe for the sake of shy eyes.

Shadowline offers many styles, some of which are sold as part of a package with their silky nightgowns and peignoirs, others which standalone as pullover styles. Saybury provides another nice pullover style in seersucker plaid with side-seam pockets. Jessica London also has full-length robes and shorter styles with hoods.

We really like the Gilligan & O'Malley robes in 100% jersey cotton for comfort and warmth, while their polyester styles, either the blowsy chiffon with polka-dots or the longer, sleeveless robe embellished with lace, are very feminine. Speaking of which, we also like Vanity Fair for their lovely floral prints in cotton blends with two side pockets and a matching tie.

Our final featured brand is Natori. Natori robes come in a variety of styles to include caftans and kimono available in a wide variety of fabrics, from knit satin to lightweight cotton. Styles also range a great deal, some with delicate embroidery along the neckline against solid colors, others with three-quarter length bell sleeves and incredibly detailed prints. One of our favorites is their comfy animal-textured robe in a soft solid color, featuring huge front patch pockets, a shawl collar, and a fabric so soft it demands cuddling.
