Fun in the Sun Bikinis
With summer in full swing,
swimwear is a swinging topic, including the ever popular women's 2-piece
bikini.
Spanx has taken the plunge and expanded their body shaping technology directly to the bikini market. One style of their charming sets, made of luxe jersey, focuses on shaping the inner thighs. Other Spanx styles specialize to lift the bust or flatten the tummy.
Interestingly, the bikini first appeared in ancient Greece, where women, gracing mosaics on the floor at the Villa Romana del Casale, Sicily, are shown in outfits similar to bikinis. An archeological find, in Pompeii, displays the Roman goddess Venus wearing a bikini. A

tankini & classic bottom would be fetching on a goddess like you.
The modern bikini actually came about as a result of wartime rationing in 1943, during WWII. To save fabric, women's
swimsuits did away with skirts, and midriffs were bared for the first time. Strike a pose in a
Ralph Lauren swimsuit, such as a ruffled
bandeau bikini. And, make a family portrait of the whole family sporting the other Lauren high-quality swimwear for men, girls and boys.
Enter French engineer Louis Reard and designer Jacques Heim in 1946.
The original suit, created by Reard, was a mere 30 inches of fabric that resembled a
bra and
underwear, tied together with strings. Named the bikini after Bikini Atoll where atom bombs were being tested, Reard hoped his racy new swimsuit would have the same explosive effect in popularity with women, and it has. So, dive into a hot
