An heirloom-variety sourdough culture. Originating in Camaldoli, Italy, this sourdough starter culture has a mild pleasing taste. This is the ideal starter for making pizza dough or Italian-style bread. It is easy to use. As a traditional sourdough starter, with proper care this culture can be perpetuated and used to leaven baking projects. For best results, we recommend feeding your sourdough culture weekly. Directions

Sourdough Starter can be activated through rehydration and ready to use for making bread or other baked goods within 4-7 days of receipt. Detailed instructions and recipes are included with each packet. This product is shelf stable if stored in a cool dry place.
