Insulated ducting helps keep heat from your exhaust system from escaping back into the growing area. If you cover your air-cooled reflector with Astro Foil/Reflectix or some other form of insulation and use insulated ducting in your exhaust system, then you will be able to significantly reduce the amount of heat generated by your lighting system because the only place for heat to escape will be from the glass lens.
