Media storage wallets are a popular, compact way to handy items that can help organize and protect CDs, DVDs, and video games in the car, office, and home.
The durability of a wallet is important. Discgear offers a lifetime warranty on their Discus series of media wallets. Leather media wallets hold up very well, and some are waterproof, like those offered by Atlantic. Many media wallets feature scratch-resistant pages to hold the discs, and many even "clean" the disc of dust as you remove them.
Media wallets come in both hard and soft covers. Soft covers are more versatile and can fit in backpacks and purses easier, but hard covers provide extra protection should it get knocked around, if it is stored in a glove compartment or car trunk, for instance.
Case Logic has one of the widest selections of wallets for CDs and DVDs, whether you are carrying as few as a dozen discs or as many as 144 (although those models stretch the definition of wallet). Icon not only makes several types of quality CD wallets at affordable prices, but they make a model that can hold a portable CD player as well, assuming you still have one. Of course, there are other types of media wallets besides those for disc media. I-Tec Electronics makes a line of iPod wallets in colors from black to neon pink. Tamrac and Lowepro make wallets for digital camera accessories. Retailer Adorama Camera has their own line of waterproof wallets that "roll out" and hold camera filters, memory cards, and other small items. Apple iPod users can find many different wallets for any iPod model, usually available from Amazon. iLuv makes a line of stylish leather iPod wallets as well.
