Reasons to Buy a Cassette Player

In today's world of portable CD players, MP3 players and the iPod, where entire music collections are stored in a gadget the size of a deck of cards, you may wonder why a cassette player is even necessary. They're larger than most MP3 players and a blank cassette tape only holds about two hours of music, at most.
So why look for a cassette player? In spite of how ubiquitous MP3 players seem, jogging with a portable cassette player makes a lot of sense; if it gets lost or broken, it is cheaper to replace. Sony started the portable music craze, so be sure to check out Sony Style, where they still offer great products.
If you need to take voice notes, a voice recorder would do the trick. Some players from RCA include a tuner so you can listen to FM radio, too! Plus, in spite of owning CDs and MP3s, you undoubtedly still have a lot of cassettes. A good shelf system (one of many products AIWA makes), gives you a sleek, unobtrusive way to listen to them.
And if you want to get a little fancier, you could spend a little more and pick up something from Marathon Pro. J&R Music and Computer World has higher quality three-head decks with noise reduction that offer better sound control, the ability to record from various sources and dual well decks to dub from cassette to cassette.
Is a cassette deck going to be the only way you listen to music? Doubtful. But why limit yourself? Check out a few of your options and see what grabs you; before you know it you'll be listening to all kinds of music you'd forgotten you owned.
