Two-way radios and pagers, once considered obsolete by many due to the rise of cell phones, are making a comeback. Two-way radios remain popular because of their reliable use in work and home settings. Two-way pagers are well-suited for the workplace, especially where personal cell phones are not allowed. The ability to send and receive messages and data is an attractive option for those in quiet work environments where a phone call could be disruptive. Motorola is one of the leading two-way pager manufacturers, and their products usually feature a full QWERTY keyboard.
Two-way radios still have a number of practical applications, particularly in the business sector, where the use of personal cell phones is discouraged.
