    George Lucas watched Flash Gordon , and Darth Vader should have

Pros: Story is engaging. A female character is not always a helpless damsel.
Cons: The special effects are quaint.
The Bottom Line: Before television, movie serials were a vital source of entertainment for millions. Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe is one of the best of this long-dead art form.
