Grapefruit and TouVelle Cheese
Though grapefruit is known primarily as a breakfast fruit, it makes a delicious salad with avocado and fennel and pairs beautifully with shrimp, chicken and pork in grilled or baked dishes. It also pairs well with TouVelle cheese. TouVelle cheese is an original cheese from the Rogue Creamery, which is located right up the road from us. A combination of cheddar, Jack and Gouda, this semi-hard cow's milk cheese has an aroma of lightly fragrant browned butter and herbs that is soft and creamy on the palate with flavors of sweet cream, milk chocolate, roasted nuts and vanilla. And it gets its name from a beautiful state park on the scenic Rogue River in Oregon.
