Handmade Turkish Inlay Backgammon Game Imported exclusively by Hammacher Schlemmer, this intricately detailed backgammon game was discovered in a Turkish bazaar. Painstakingly made by hand, the game is assembled with quality hand-cut wood and shimmering mother of pearl in intricate settings. Skilled woodworkers craft the board using a variety of methods, including inlaying and pasting, with a combination of beech, mahogany, orange, walnut, and rose wood, and only natural colors are used. The reverse side of the board can be used for checkers. The varnished, beechwood-framed set folds compactly. Includes handmade playing pieces and instructions. Ages 8 and up. Made in Turkey.
