Having the ability to throw in some onions, carrots and potatoes or to make homemade chicken broth on a cold, windy day can be a delight. Depending on what your'e making and the size, what you throw in a stockpot can last a while too. We are a big fan of Le Creuset and their stockpot version in colorful blues, red and oranges. It can really bring out a smile in the middle of winter.
Cuisinart makes a very classic stockpot version in mirrored stainless steel or in hard-anodized steel, both with lids to see what you're brewing. Their sizes range from 6 to 12 quarts which are great for boiling lobster, crab or pasta.
T-Fal has a wide variety of sizes as well and are all made with soft touch handles for easy gripping and they are all oven safe to 350 degrees. They also make a red, nonstick stockpot to add a little color to your kitchen.
For reasonable prices and well-known durablity, Farberware has a very wide selection of stockpots made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel with aluminum cores for fast and even heating. Their rolled rims are great for pouring, stay-cool handles are safe on the stovetop and they offer a lifetime warranty on their products. Farberware also has a straining stockpot that can be very helpful when cooking pasta or lobster.
If you are looking for larger sizes, Camerons makes sizes ranging from 8 quarts to a whopping 24 quarts. Their stockpots have durable handles riveted into the matte interior and are tri-ply constructed for better heat transfer with no hot spots.
Revere, Lifetime, and Emerilware also all make great quality stockpots for your cooking needs. A good stockpot will last a lifetime and provide you with many delicious meals to savor.
