Four of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple thrillers are adapted for the screen in this collection of the popular British TV show. "The Murder at The Vicarage" sees Marple (Geraldine McEwan) getting involved in an investigation surrounding the death or Colonel Protheroe (Derek Jacobi) . Further mysteries abound in "The Body in The Library" when a dead girl is found in the stately house of a married couple, only for further murders to develop as Marple attempts to crack the case. "A Murder is Announced" features a highly unusual set of circumstances for the curious sleuth, as a murder is announced, in advance, via a newspaper. Finally, "4:50 From Paddington" shows that persistence can pay rich dividends, when Marple refuses to give up on a case that has baffled the police.
