Meat Thermometer

"Ordered a "Sabatier au carbon" chefs knife from them. Wanted to pay by credit card but the customer service said "impossible for Canadian customers" it had to be by money order. I asked "can you send it by US postage?" they said "yes you just need to specify it on the order form you need to print out and fill" The result, It got sent by UPS so had to pay an Xtra 53$. they told me AFTER that it was back order so it was sent 3 months late (and it was for a birthday gift) AND now that I've got it (packaged in a cheap plastic umbrella sleeve) I compare it to my old one I've inherited, and the ones on Sabatier's web site, and it looks more like a good copy then the real thing. No certificate, No engravings, just painted "Meoceur & cie" SABATIER CARBON, FRANCE. carbon in french is spelled "carbone", real Sabatier as far as I know are ingraved (as my is) And Who the hell are Meoceur& cie? Couldn't find any trace of them on the web. Or any similar names. Of course paying by money order leaves me with no refund " Date: 7/20/10
