Metro Blue Line (Lacmta)

The Metro Blue Line of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail is a light rail line connecting Downtown Los Angeles at the 7th St/Metro Center station and Downtown Long Beach. The Blue Line is currently the longest in the Metro system and the second busiest light rail line in the United States, averaging over 80,000 weekday boardings. On its journey, Blue Line trains cut through much of the densely populated area south of Downtown LA, through South Los Angeles, Watts, Willowbrook, Compton, and Long Beach. The Blue Line also passes near the cities of Vernon, Huntington Park, Lynwood, and Carson. The famous Watts Towers can also be seen from the train near 103rd Street Station. The Blue Line has two other official names: the B Line, and Line 801. These are rarely used by residents, but occasionally appear on official documents.
