Ming - Hoa Plush Monkey

Meet Ming-Hoa. His name, pronounced ming-hwa, is an Asian phrase meaning “Shining.” Indeed, this little one shines like a star. Putting on his white gloves and shoes, he loves to dance, sing, act anything to entertain the other monkeys. He’s quite a show off. But Ming-Hoa does not take his talent for granted. He knows he needs to practice every day. As they say in China, “If you neglect your craft for one day it will neglect you for two.” Ming-Hoa is a white-handed gibbon. This species of gibbon is known for its light colored hands and feet that look like an entertainer’s white gloves and shoes. The body color can vary from jet black to pale brown. But it always has a rim of white circling the face. These tail-less gibbons swing from tree to tree trapeze-style, using hands and arms. They often use their feet to carry food.
