Other than Nikon's exotic (and extremely expensive) lenses, this is probably one of their best lenses. I am simply amazed at the sharpness, auto-focus speed, bokeh and build quality. I foresee this being one of my favorite lenses for a long time to come. |

Pros: Very rugged and robust, outstanding optics, Vibration Reduction, VERY FAST Focus!
Cons: High Cost. No aperture ring.
The Bottom Line: It may just be the FINEST zoom lens ever brought to market anywhere!

Pros: Greate optics, no focuse hunting, with TC - you get 600mm with good aparture.
Cons: A bit heavey - need a strong back and a good backpack ,expensive - oouuch...
