Story Behind the Art:
Pearls With a Purpose foundation supports three initiatives to eliminate the cycle of poverty in underdeveloped countries: Micro-enterprise and training in self-reliance, educational scholarships/support and shipments of temporal goods on a bi-annual basis. Through these initiatives, over 183 women have been trained in skills of jewelry making, sewing, embroidery, quilting and shoe making. Over 400 children are attending school, and over 1800 containers have been shipped to coordinators in 22 provinces.
