Prince of Thieves : A Novel
Overview
Commentary
A thief must choose between his professional and personal loyalties in this crime novel. Doug MacRay and his gang are experienced bank robbers in the Boston area. Their latest job, which involved taking bank manager Claire Keesey hostage, went off without a hitch...except for Doug's unaccountable attraction to Claire. Fortunately, when he initiates a romance with her, Claire fails to recognize Doug without his mask. But Doug's having difficulty becoming the law-abiding person that Claire believes him to be. To make matters worse, the FBI agent investigating the robbery is not only closing in on Doug--he's also becoming romantically interested in Claire.
Publisher's Notes
The branch manager of a Boston bank, Claire Keesey finds herself attracted to very different men--Doug MacRay, the leader of a tight-knit crew of criminals and bank robbers, and FBI agent Adam Frawley--but her relationships are complicated by Frawley's plans to eliminate Boston's criminal element and by Doug's gang's plans to rob Fenway Park. Reprint. 25,000 first printing.
