Schleich Great White Shark

Camouflaged by its white underside and gray backside, great white sharks are at an advantage when hunting. This deep-sea predator, which can grow to be 27' long and weigh over 2 tons, loves to eat fish, seals, octopus, and sea turtles. Female great white sharks are generally larger than the males. As the biggest hunting sharks, they are also among the fastest fish in the sea, reaching speed of 20mph with their perfectly streamlined body.When catching prey, these sharks are precise and grab their meal with fifty triangle-shaped teeth. In a single bite, these sharks can swallow 31 lbs of food. After dull, old teeth, razor-sharp teeth come in as replacements. Sometimes solitary, great white sharks have been known to travel over 40 miles in one day and live to be over 40 years old. For ages 3 years and up.
