Story Behind the Art:
Cecilia Zapata says, 'I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Lima and I have always felt an attraction towards arts, especially Peruvian handcrafts. My aunts instilled in me an appreciation towards Peruvian crafts, a passion that has grown ever since. I want my art to convey a sense of joy, and I hope it is admired for its innovative essence. There is always something new to create. When I see something I like I never tire of admiring it, and when I finish a new piece I always get a sense of happiness and pride.'
