How to Buy the Best Volleyball Shoes

If you have very narrow feet, start with Asics volleyball shoes in your search for the right fit. Mizuno volleyball shoes may have a slightly tighter fit. However, both offer a superb line of volleyball shoes with excellent gum and rubber outsoles, one of the most important features of these sports shoes.
If you have weak ankles, go for high-top volleyball shoes or shoes that have built-in ankle braces. If you use separate ankle braces, make sure they work well with the shoes you intend to buy. Try the Kaepa brand. Also, remember to buy your volleyball shoes to fit with your socks on.
Buy volleyball shoes with low heels that have good shock absorption, particularly in the midsole area, and that fully support lateral, jumping and landing movements. Try to get Polyurethane, Phylon or Phylite and avoid EVA (loses flexibility easily) in the midsoles. The heels should be able to absorb at least eight times your body weight on impact. Check out the Adidas, Nike or Asics. Mizuno may also be a great choice.
If you are looking for the best comfort and support in a volleyball shoe for sprints and shuffling without losing lateral movement ability, try a lighter weight shoe with good traction and shock absorption. Adults and children might even consider trying cross training sneakers by Nike, Reebok or Adidas.
Check the top brands for recent updates in their best performing volleyball shoes. If you are looking for volleyball shoes that you can run and play in, try the Volleycross line by Asics. For grass and sand volleyball, check out Nike and Asics outdoor volleyball shoes.
For serious volleyball on the court and an extra edge for intense maneuvers including spiking, purchase pro-type volleyball shoes that offer breathability, shock resistance, cushioned comfort and support. Your shoes should fit snugly to avoid blisters.
