Soil Thermometer: 6 inch Garden and Composting Transplanting shock in seedlings can be avoided, if the soil temperature is checked before planting. Most seeds require a warm soil to a depth of at least 3 inches in order to encourage germination. Planting by the calendar disregards weather variations from year to year. Timing planting based on soil temperature helps assure plants get a good start. Plants which have been planted in soil which is too cold exhibit symptoms similar to those planted in soil which has poor nutrient values. Once the soil warms up they begin to grow vigorously, if they have survived the cold conditions.The Soil Thermometer has a durable aluminum casting which measures 3/8 inch x 9 inches. Each thermometer is accompanied by a guide giving the minimum and optimum planting temperatures for many popular vegetables.

RETURN POLICY Unused or unopened product can be returned after purchase with a return authorization number. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number can be obtained by calling customer service at 301-694-6072. Write the RMA number on the outside of the package you are returning and include a copy of your receipt or packing slip. This will ensure a speedy credit to your account. We highly recommend shipping your return with a carrier that can track the shipment from start to finish. A tracking number will provide you proof that the return was received by our shipping department. All returns must be received in unused or undamaged condition for a full merchandise credit. Inspect your package upon delivery for any damage; if your shipment is damaged note the damage with the driver immediately, this includes documenting any damage on the lay bill for all freight deliveries, then call customer service at
