Talburt (educational policy studies, Georgia State U.) uses an interpretive ethnography to explore the academic practices of three lesbian faculty members at famed Liberal University, a public research institution. She uses post-structural theories to transcend constructions of lesbian faulty that rely on identity, voices, and visibility and to consider instead the construction and shifting meanings of academic research, teaching, and collegial relations in practice.
