The Instant Transfer HD Camcorder. Available only at Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the high-definition camcorder--slightly larger than a deck of cards--that instantly transfers videos and still pictures to your computer when placed in its dock. The camera automatically loads its software onto your computer when the dock is first connected, so there is nothing to configure and no need to search on your computer, as pictures and video are copied into the same location you specify every time. The camera captures 1280 x 720 resolution video at 30 fps and can store up to one full hour of video on the included 2GB SD card. It can take up to 746 8MP still pictures at interpolated 3200 x 2400 resolution, has a 2X digital zoom, and displays pictures and video on a 2 1/2" TFT color display. Footage may also be transferred to any computer via a USB connection. The camcorder can plug directly to a TV to view images or video using the included composite or RCA cables. Its rechargeable battery provides two hours of operation from a three-hour charge when placed in its dock. Includes USB cable and a soft carrying case. Requires a computer with USB 2.0 and Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7. 3 3/4" L x 2 1/2" W x 3/4" D. (2 3/4 oz.)

"Item was listed as "in stock" when I ordered it on-line. Next day I get an email saying the item is out of stock and they don't know when it will be available. The explanation when I called was that even though the item was in stock when I ordered it on-line, I must have been preempted by someone who ordered it over the phone at the same time I was ordering it on-line. Bunch of hooey. Bottom line is, it was supposed to be a Christmas gift, and now that won't happen. This is a disorganized outfit, and I'll never purchase anything from them again. " |
