How to Purchase Party GamesGet your friends together and play, with party games for all ages. We'll share some of our favorites, from DVD games to cards and board games so you've got a variety of fun activity for the whole family or for your next party! Whether you've got a class full of kids or a bunch of bored grownups, you're sure to come across the perfect way to liven up your get-together
We'll start with Hasbro for some of your traditional party games like Twister and Pictionary, but we need to point out some of their new games that are certainly worth a try. Adults will really enjoy the six games in one box from Partini, with plenty of fun for four players or more. One of the included games is What Nots; can you describe something by saying what it's not? We also think the i-List Music Party game from Hasbro is a very creative concept, and a blast for all ages, too! This fast tracking song-matching game uses your music and up to 200 categories for music trivia mayhem for up to four MP3 players.
Mattel has more to offer, including a crazy family game called Snorta! In Snorta! each player chooses the sound of a typical farm animal and the fun begins. As players quickly flip over cards, tongue-tied players stumble and stutter to blurt out the animal sounds of the other players. Speaking of which, you should also check out Blurt, the Webster's game of word racing. For three or more players ages 10 and up, it's a race of rapid recall and a challenge to get the answers off the tip of your tongue.
You'll find a lot of unusual game choices from University Games, including an (oh my) Electric Spin the Bottle game: the bottle lights up when you spin it and makes cool sound effects. When it comes to a rest, the light beaming out of the bottle cap will leave no doubt about the target. Over 130 commands are programmed into 3 categories: Truth, Dare or Kiss (on the nose!)/Forfeit. We also really like University Games' Sort it Out, the game where you put things in order, like fastest to slowest and so on. It's much more fun that it sounds; you should really give it a try.
If you've never tried a DVD game, you're in for a treat. Screenlife carries the long line of Scene It? games, featuring specific TV series or bits from dozens of television shows at once, as well as a Deluxe Movie Edition with over a thousand movie scenes, stars, images and trivia challenges. Screenlife also offers the DVD Blast game with Spiderman and many other fun selections.
We'd also like to introduce you to Buffalo Games, which produces very different card games for parties and family time. Likewise! is a thought-provoking party game where it pays to think alike when presented with random description pairs (like Exotic and Car). Matches with other players gain the point, but with over 5000 different possible combinations, this game will never get stale. Imaginiff is another favorite that works a little bit like MadLibs but in group play; you'll love it!
