LongRun line cards use the existing POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) wiring to provide connectivity to subscribers, eliminating the need for new wiring. With LongRun, voice and data operate simultaneously over the same pair of copper wire. Subscribers no longer have to resort to additional voice lines or separate media to handle voice and data services. The ACLC-LR utilizes LongRun technology to provide point to multipoint connectivity up to 1Mbps for distances up to 2000 feet. This technology also enables subscribers to share access to high speed Internet services and benefit from home networking capabilities by adding additional LongRun, or certified third party LongRun adapters to spare RJ-11 phone jacks on the same loop.
