Know When Sump Pump Fails Using Optional Sump Water Attachment Gizmode Water Alarm(TM) (not included) or Water Screamer(TM) (not included) sounds when your sump pump fails when you add this sump water level alarm attachment. If you are home, you'll hear the 90db Water Alarm(TM) (not included) or the 130db Water Screamer(TM) (not included) if you have normal hearing and are within range. Use to be alerted when a sump overflows, a bath tub is full or when an aquarium begins to overflow. Gizmode optional sump water level alarm attachment only, no water alarms are included. How It Works: Terminal clips (2) slide onto two Water Alarm(TM) or Water Screamer(TM) sensor feet or the Water Alarm(TM) nearest 9 volt battery contacts. Suggested applications: sump overflow warning, bath tub fill alert, aquarium overflow alert or hot tub fill alert. Testing: After installation of wires, lower the plastic sensor at least one inch into a container of water. Alarm should sound within 5 seconds or less. If no alarm sounds, test the Water Alarm(TM) or Water Screamer(TM)unit. If the Water Alarm(TM) or Water Screamer(TM) tests okay, then check the installation of the connective wires. If alarm does not sound, return unit to dealer for replacement. Placement of the Water Alarm(TM) or Water Screamer(TM) : Anywhere within the range of the overflow adapter wires.
