| Founded in 1985, 525 America is all about knitwear. The company's founder Bobby Bock envisioned a product - a simple oversized, thick, and domestically produced sweater that was as chic as it was cozy. Seeing the need for this product in the market, Bock started 525, and in the 25 years since the company has transformed into a household name in hip and comfortable knitwear for women. While 525 sweaters are what originally sparked interest, the company now creates a whole line of women's apparel ranging from simple v-neck sweaters to knit outerwear. In addition to the knit products, 525 now produces a whole line of non-knit apparel that includes such high quality materials as silk, satin, cashmere, and even fur and leather. Their diverse and impressive product line includes high-end apparel such as leather jackets, cashmere tunics, and fur vests, just to name a few of their more prominent hip, stylish pieces. In addition to women's apparel, 525 now offers a girl's collection. Stylistically similar to the women's line, the collection is much smaller, though they offer the same fashion forward concepts in knitwear and outerwear. Another, even smaller collection offered is the 525 Homewear line. This consists largely of knit blankets, throws, and baby blankets that are carefully crafted from quality materials consistent with the 525 name.
