| It's hard to believe that the brand name synonymous with surfing got its start in Missouri, but sometimes good story's are hard to believe. Sparked from the minds of identical twin brothers who developed a love of water at an early age, came the first Body Glove Wet Suit. After many late nights surfing by the lights of their cars, the brothers began to search for a way to combat the cold. They found that using the same material found in refrigerator insulation, Neoprene, they could counteract the cold water. Not only did this allow them to surf at night, but it made it possible to surf all year long. This development, was hand crafted by the brothers and sold initially in the store they owned two thirds of the Dive N' Surf . Many years later, Bob and Bill Meistrell are both in the surfing and diving hall of fame, and their innovative product and company Body Glove continues to be a beach standard.
