| Workwear is synonymous with Dickies and since 1922, Dickies has become the largest workwear manufacturer in the world. Dickies makes workwear inspired by the durable, hardworking and quality American worker. C.N. Williamson and his cousin, E.E. Colonel Dickie, started out with a vehicle and harness business in Bryan, Texas and by 1918 they and a few others established the U.S. Overall Company. C.N. Williamson's son, C. Don Williamson, joined his father and cousin in 1922 and bought 100% of the overall company and renamed it Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company. The Great Depression hit and business slowed down but during WWII, the company was hired to produce millions of uniforms for the soldiers fighting overseas. After the war, they again started making civilian workwear and the son, C. Don Williamson set his eyes on growing the business across America by establishing production facilities, warehouses and sales regions throughout the U.S. In the 1950's, Williamson-Dickie expanded into the international market by Texas oilmen introducing their workwear to other countries. Today, Williamson-Dickie has grown to offer products including Dickies khakis, Dickies jeans, Dickies slacks, Dickies boots, Dickies sweatshirts, Dickies caps and much more. Dickies workwear started out with their simple Dickies overalls and turned it into a global business. Dickies painter pants is now seen everywhere on men, women and kids and has even become a fashionable trend among some. Other products they produce are Dickies wallets, Dickies dress pants, Dickies mens shirts, and Dickies womens shirts Dickies jackets.
