Eddie Bauer parkas, Eddie Bauer fleece jackets and Eddie Bauer sweaters became the products of choice for American expeditioners (or, those who climbed the world's largest mountains) beginning in 1953, with highlights including the gear of choice for the first American team to climb Mt. Everest. In 2008, the Eddie Bauer company commemorated this accomplishment and paid homage to Eddie's original down coats by creating a trademarked plaid, which is available in Eddie Bauer t-shirts and Eddie Bauer casual shirts, Eddie Bauer scarves and other accessories, and even Eddie Bauer sheets and sheet sets, Eddie Bauer baby blankets and other home décor.

Although Eddie Bauer passed away in 1986, the Eddie Bauer company continues to build upon the foundation that he created with his passion for the outdoors, an equally passionate dedication to innovative product design and a strong sense of devotion to their customers.
