About Rawlings

Founded in 1887, Rawlings is an American manufacturer and retailer of competitive sports apparel, protective gear and equipment for basketball, softball, baseball, hockey, soccer, volleyball and football for youths of all ages and adults.

Rawlings equipment is used in Major League Baseball (MLB) games and is the exclusive supplier of Rawlings baseball helmets to the MLB. The brand's equipment is also used in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) games and by amateur and interscholastic organizations. The brand licenses its name for a wide variety of toys, apparel, shoes and other merchandise. In 2007, Rawlings was acquired by Jarden, a consumer product manufacturer.

Rawlings is best known as an official supplier of baseball equipment, such as Rawling gloves, Rawling bats, helmets, apparel and even umpire gear. The company is also the sponsor of a number of baseball awards, such as the MLB Gold Glove Award.

Softball apparel, bats, gloves, and helmets are also made by Rawlings, as are basketballs and Rawlings basketball apparel. Rawlings also manufacturers Rawlings football apparel, protective gear, footballs, helmets, gloves, bags, accessories, protective vests and rib protectors, sunglasses and training equipment. Rawlings produces training equipment, such as batting tees and agility hurdles, for baseball, softball, football and basketball.
