| Karen Andrea, a graphic designer from Santa Barbara, wanted to create furniture for her daughter Sarah that brought magic into a child's room with bright, playful colors and designs, so she founded Room Magic in 1999. Their natural birch wood furniture is stained in whimsical colors, then lacquered to create a more durable finish, and there are a dozen different collections to give your child's imagination a variety of places to play. One of the greatest benefits of Room Magic is that nearly every piece of furniture is adaptable and modular. Room Magic cribs easily convert to toddler beds with clever but safe plexiglass windows in the headboard. As your child grows up, as aspects of the bedroom change with them; all drawer fronts are reversible from their colorful stains to an all-natural wood finish. Similarly, Room Magic chests of drawers has a Room Magic changing table tray on top which can be removed as your child gets older. Not only do they make Room Magic nursery sets and Room Magic bedroom sets that adjust and grow with your child, but many accessories are available to bring the room together during each stage. Coordinating Room Magic crib sets, Room Magiccomforters and other bedding fabrics are designed with original illustrations by Karen Andrea and made of 100% cotton for extra softness and easy care.
