| It's impossible to understand the scope of the Valentino brand until you've gotten acquainted with the man who brought it to life: Valentino Garavani. Valentino became interested in fashion as early as his primary school years in Italy, and he moved to Paris at 17 to pursue an education in the industry. From there, each new job gave him the opportunity to sketch and design, until he returned to Italy in 1959. He opened a fashion house in Rome, debuting his first collection in Florence in 1962 which featured elegant white pleats and his signature red Valentino dresses, all received as an enthusiastic success. By 1966, Valentino was already well-established in the fashion domain, winning the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award with his designs favored by the ladies who recognized his exquisite design style, from Jacqueline Kennedy and Princess Margaret to Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor. 1970Marked his first entry into the more casual ready-to-wear fashions, including Valentino tops, Valentino sleeveless dresses, and even ultra-casual Valentino t-shirts as a cross-over to modern styles. Though he sold his design house, Valentino SpA, in 1998, his lifetime devotion to be beautification of fashion earned him the French Legion of Honor in 2006. Italian fashion designer Valentino has dressed some of the world's most glamorous women, and the incredible attention to details, often imitated but never matched by other designers, can give you that glamour as well. Best known for introducing form fitting, moisture-wicking sports apparel, Under Armour is based in the United States. Under Armour not only distributes sporting clothing, but sports shoes and sport accessories as well for both genders and children.
