| Although the company is named after Fred Waring, a popular entertainer of the 1930s through 1950s, Mr. Waring did not actually invent the blender; rather, the original design was brought to him by inventor Fred Osius. Fred Waring spent a year perfecting the design, introducing the first Waring blender in 1937 as the Miracle Mixer. Product innovations continued in the 1940s with the introduction of color-coordinated blenders and attachments that crushed ice and ground coffee, as well as solid state controls. Conair has owned Waring Products since 1998 as part of its large kitchen appliances division, headed by the Cuisinart brand. The brand's products include a full line of premium countertop appliances such as Waring popcorn makers, Waring juicers and Waring toaster ovens, each of which bring a professional level of quality, ease and performance to home kitchens and restaurant chefs.
