    Excellent but few Special Features

Pros: Excellent DVD layout, great retrospective interviews with Joss Whedon, story is fantastic.
Cons: Only two episode commentaries, special features not unique to each episode.
The Bottom Line: The Season 1 DVD for avid fans bound is to be a favourite if lacking in special features. Newcomers may find the philosophy behind the show helps engage them.
