Throw the Perfect Election Party

There's no doubt that the upcoming 2008 Presidential Election is a truly historic one- which is why you should celebrate by hosting an election party they'll remember! Election Party Tip #1: Dress Up!
The broader range of political affiliations you have at your election party, the better. So make sure to invite your friends voting for either Barack Obama, John McCain, and any other political party, just to make it more fun. Then get dressed up! Yes, you heard me. Dress it up with a John McCain mask, a Barack Obama mask, or even a Sexy Sarah Palin costume And don't forget the 100s of Obama and McCain t-shirt styles.

Election Party Tip #2: Set the Mood
The great thing about an election party is that you can reuse any decorations you had for the Fourth of July. Believe it or not, you can deck your tree in Republican ornaments or Democrat ornaments too. That's really getting in the spirit of things!

Election Party Tip #3: Provide Election-Themed Food & Drink
It's not an election party without some red & blue cocktails (or non-alcoholic election cocktails)! I like Intoxicologist's recipe for a Red, White, & Blue Mojito, or you can serve California wine for the blue-staters & Texas wine for the red-staters. Election Party Tip #4: Play Games!
Besides the drinking games, there are many fun political board games you can play at the election party. Play poker with Politicards, a fun card deck with political caricatures.
