Fashion Trends: Spring 2008 Guide

It’s bright, it’s bold – it’s fashion’s new looks for spring! Designers at Spring 2008 runway shows from New York’s Olympus Fashion week to London’s Fashion Week all have collections influenced by stark colors, all-over prints, and fun, flirty sleeves. Whether it’s Diane von Furstenberg’s tribal and floral styles, or Diesel’s fun splashes of yellow – the mood has definitely been set for a spirited spring season of clothing. Here are my favorite Spring 2008 fashion trends:

Yellow is a scream:

Believe it or not, yellow can look great on anyone. And this season’s it-color is definitely vivacious, vibrant, daffodil yellow. Not golden, not beige, not tan. I love this Splendid Jersey and Swiss Dot Camisole – perfect for layering!

Call me daisy – florals are adorable:

Colorful, all-over floral prints are definitely popular this season – and thankfully with all the variety and quality out there, it’s possible to wear them without looking like your silhouette has sprouted into a spring garden! Get glad – gladiator, that is:

T-strap, thong, gladiator, whatever you call ‘em – Greco-Roman influences definitely dominate the Spring 2008 line of sandal styles. I love these from the Carlos by Carlos Santana Magnum line -- they come in three colors!
