What is the relationship between cortisol and the thyroid?
Cortisol levels have a direct relationship with the thyroid, and they act synergistically with one another. Cortisol helps the thyroid hormone work more efficiently. The correct amount of cortisol – not too high or too low – supports normal thyroid function. When cortisol gets too high, triggered by the adrenal gland’s response to unwanted stress, it causes a delayed or absent response from the tissues to the thyroid hormone signal. This absent or delayed response from the tissues causes resistance from the thyroid hormone receptors. When cortisol gets too high, and this resistance occurs, it requires more hormones to create the same effect. That’s why elevated stress, which elevates cortisol levels, leads to a sluggish feeling. The hormones aren’t allowed to work at optimal levels. Nearly every cell in the body has receptors for both cortisol and thyroid hormones, and nearly every cellular process requires an optimal functioning thyroid.

This product has been a best seller for me especially with perimenopausal women but the labeling looks like GoLo, as seen on TV cheesey ads. We are health care providers selling these items and it makes us look bad. Now I have to preface the 'change in label' speech to my patients. I wish it would look professional like it did before. Still I'm sure the quality is the same.

I have been on this since l got it and have seen no difference. I have not lost any weight despite eating better and even exercising and moving more. Not happy thought l would have a little change

Great product, poor new design

I love ACTS and it has helped me tremendously to balance my cortisol levels and regain my health. However, I am baffled by the change in labeling and the new marketing logo that turned the product from looking like a professional supplement into one that you would find on a cheesy TV add. It reminds me of the Slimfast ads and other low quality product labels. Even my clients have reported this to me and people on my MA team. Why on earth did they need to change this label and all of the once beautifully-branded TLS products to this ugly yellow-green color with GOTRIM on it. I'm sorry but it feels like you degraded the products by changing them to look like this. Thank you.
